Apple's Research app can transfer study progress to a new device

Apple on Tuesday updated its Research app with a new capability that allows users to transfer study progress to a new device using iCloud.

The latest version 2.3 of Apple Research includes support for transferring study progress to secondary devices using iCloud backup, according to release notes accompanying the update.With the new capability, users can easily transport ongoing study data to a new device like the upcoming iPhone 13 when restoring from a backup. The app lacks a direct means of sharing data from one device to another, though gathered Health data generated by studies can be exported as a .zip archive.
