Following rumors that it was in talks to purchase rights to Peter Farrelly's "The Greatest Beer Run Ever," Apple TV+ is reportedly filling out the movie's cast led by Zach Efron and Russell Crowe.
"The Greatest Beer Run Ever" is now an Apple original, with Jake Picking, Will Ropp, Archie Renaux and Kyle Allen set to star alongside Efron and Crowe, reports Deadline.The movie is based on the New York Times bestselling book "The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty and War" by Joanna Molloy and John "Chickie" Donohue. The story follows Donohue, who in 1967 decides to leave New York and deliver beer to his childhood friends who are serving tours of duty in Vietnam.
