Apple executive Alisha Johnson, program lead for the company's Racial Equality and Justice Initiative, discussed the genesis of a new program that provides training to 15 environmental businesses run by Black, Latino and Indigenous people.
Announced on Tuesday, Apple's "https://ift.tt/2Wc8j2n Accelerator" is part of the company's $100 million racial equity initiative, but also taps into efforts to combat climate change.In an interview with Cheddar (via iMore), Johnson explained that the new program was born out of Apple's desire to level the playing field for people of color.
