YouTube is down because 2020 isn't over for seven weeks

YouTube is down right now, making all of its videos inaccessible. You can access the website, however, all YouTube videos are blocked with an error message: 'An error occurred. Please try again later.' 

Later hasn't come for a lot of people. At 7:23pm ET, over an hour ago, the official TeamYouTube Twitter account confirmed the bad news for YouTube views, but suggested that the Google-owned video streaming platform is working on a fix.

We're also having trouble watching YouTube TV, which is problematic given that its prime time television hours across the US.
